Our Clicklist department has had no tablet for over 8 months, I think. The absurdity of Kroger is beyond any type of comprehension.
And no one does anything. Not the Clicklist manager, not the store manager, not the district manager... lol. No one cares. But they do worry about wait time, though. That's important.
And I bet the EBT customers love it. Having to come inside and pay for months on end, and keep hearing, "Our tablets are down today."
Monitor for incoming customers? Nah, who needs those.
Scales? 2 should do it.
Batteries for scales? Let's have just one of those.
Baymaxes? Very few, and most don't work. Still gotta use them to stage and destage, even though my manager went to a class for stagin/destaging on the Harvester several months ago. Still waiting.
Door, to take the groceries out? Nah, just use the one the customers stand in.
A roof to stop rain in the parking lot? Nah, just use a poncho! You got this!
Anyhow, this is how they run Kroger. Minimal investment; zero maintenance.
Our A/C broke because they never clean the vents or change the filters.
