If you come to work early please punch in on time. I can not tell you how many people arrive 1-2 hrs early to work due to carpooling or the bus, sit in the break room watching vids on their phone until it's time to work. Daily these people always end up punching in 30 min late. Good fu-ck if you arrive 2+ hrs early to work you can punch the fu-ck in on time.

My store recently wrote up a few coworkers who were abusing this privilege. The 7 min leeway is mandatory but people say fu-ck you and push it beyond that. Any other job would of fired you by now.

If you can use a smart phone you sure the heck can set a timer to remind you shift is starting in <5 min. That goes with break and lunches. I can see why my store makes people punch for breaks. Too many were disappearing for 1+ hrs. Sorry but that's job

I usually watch videos when I arrive at work early. However, I also set an alarm on my phone that will interrupt the video letting me know "Hey, your video is done for now. Put the phone away and clock in." I gave never had an issue being late due to videos. If anything, sometimes I either clock out too late or clock in too early.

Setting a timer or an alarm is all well and fine. But there is also just simply looking at the clock that's built into the phone. If one is watching a video or reading or whatever all.they have to do is look at the top corner.

You look like the guy who wrote complaining about autistic people running loose in the stores.

You're quickly showing a real streak of whiny problems with everybody, and that's gonna likely get your ass kicked eventually.

What do you care how others handle their time management. Try minding your own, you'll live better.

i like to show up and clock in a half hour late and then go on my break 10 minutes later. i throw a case or 2 on the shelf to make it look like i did something, and then the other 7 hours are spent on my phone on the toilet!

But it's not unreasonable to expect your coworkers to be there on time, especially if they were already there anyway. It's putting unnecessary work on others when they don't, and you don't seem to care about that. For my part, I will do anything I can to make sure my front end team is not having to work too hard.
