With government covid policies coming to an end: I really hope Kroger at least keeps the policy of sending sickies home.
This would be great as this is how viruses spread. Coworkers come in sick then the virus spreads through the community. I've always been uncomfortable servicing sickies even more so sharing a work space with a sicki.
A coworker came to work sick and management told her to leave after 10 min. She wouldn't so they forced her to go home or get written up. She was out of sick pay but told her they'd honor it. So she went home.
When I am a customer I always abandon my orders or go to the line where the coworker isn't sick.
For real. This sh!t is OVA and yet summa these fkheads still wearing those stupid masks, still pushin that xax, and refuse to move past the last 2 yrs.

As for sending "sickies" home. Nope. Noting about that was learned from the pandemic. While they were forcing me to wear a mask, they harassed me for calling out sick and wanted me to return to work while sick. All they care about is the work getting done.

Kroger tried to have it both ways, as usual. Glad for the health authorities and sorry Kroger can't seem to ever get in serious trouble over anything. If you are throwing up, bleeding a lot from the rectum, unable to understand commands, stuff like that.. they will send you home and treat you like it is a suspension for misconduct. They tell mask cops anything they want to hear. This company definitely made everything worse.

To that last: Exactly right. So funny, isn't it, how over night POOF! Everything back to normal, no more masks / vax mandates. Despite all the lies and propaganda being shoved at us, most of us knew from the start this was bullsht. I kept waiting for and never seeing all these piles of dead and dying bodies. ................
