Under most contracts, they can't deny you a vacation week. The Store managers can force you to take it when they want if you do not pick a week by the request deadline.
If you have been employed a few years, you might be able to get paid Vacation in Lieu. Work the week but also get paid for vacation at regular pay the same week. I think it requires that you have 2 weeks of vacation available.
Your should be able to take your vacation by Feb 28th the next year if you make a request to HR in writing. Carry Over Vacation Request Form.
