How can you work at Kroger for 5+ years? I talked to many of my coworkers today or overheard that they've been working at kroger for 5+, 15+, or 40+ years since they was 14 or 15 years old! When I ask them how could they do it. It was either financial struggle growing up, neede experience, looking for dream job that requires 10+ years experience in retail, or just needed a way out of hell.
In all honestly, I only see myself here at Kroger for a year and I may move to a warehouse job where they pay $20+ an hour.
This is prolly a troll thread but I'll take it any way..
Today's youngins entering this depraved job market where nobody wants to work and, worse, they're apparently finding ways to get away with that sht, might genuinely be asking questions like yours. I'm almost 60 and the way things are now, I'M wondering the same things.
I dunno, man. If you can find a way to house, feed and clothe yourself AND stay out of jail doing it, well....get it. Everything's different now. A lot of it is, the spell has worn off: the spell we've all been under for generations where, if you don't go to college you won't amount to anything; and if you don't hold down the same shtty job for decades, you'll die poor and lonely and worthless.
Obviously things aint like that any more. So yea. If any job you're on aint cuttin for you, do what ever you have to do to get out of it.,,,
So funny to see all these young kids get hired then they either quit in 2 or 3 days, get fired for stealing or just play on their phone half the shift and just slack off until let go. Who can blame them though? Job is so meaningless.
