If someone wants to keep wearing a face diaper that's their deal if it's optional. However, one of our employees who wore two (yes, two) still got sick from covid. Thankfully it wasn't severe and they're going back to work in a few days.

And I 100% believe that even if they DIDN'T offer adequate protection against the COVID (which they do, to some degree), there will be ANOTHER pandemic down the line that may force us to have to wear them again, so I'm getting my practice in now! If they can't stop COVID or the recent monkeypox, it's almost a guarantee there will be another one at some point, maybe worse than those. Bill Gates believes it and there's nothing I'm seeing now that tells me there won't be...Even the President got COVID twice! If it can happen to him, it can happen to anybody!

Several of my co-workers have gotten it twice now. I don't care if the state doesn't require it, but for my own peace of mind and sanity, I'm keeping the mask on! Don't like it? Simple! Shop elsewhere! Your freedoms are not threatened because I want to feel safe and comfortable! Heck, the mask-wearing is even still encouraged by our company, even if it ISN'T the law!
Some of these customers who come in are just old and gross. bad hygiene, bad breath, bugs in their hair Id wear a biohazard suit if I could when dealing with these nasties.
I'm beginning to think that most of the employees who still insist on wearing their face diapers just do it because of one of these reasons:
1) they are basically shy
2) they have bad teeth
3) it gives them a sense of being more "anonymous" (see #1) -- like customers might have more trouble recognizing them if they see them later without a mask.
4) they believe all the propaganda of the WHO and CDC. (hey people, it is a FACT that both of those health organizations have lied and lied to the public (changing their stories) several times over the the last 2 and 1/2 years). Most of the employees of the WHO and CDC may be fine, well-meaning people, but that doesn't mean the 'higher ups' are all truthful and ethical. Ever heard of this company called Kroger? Similar situation.
5) they feel unattractive.
6) they watch too much "news" either on social media, cable news or the mainstream TV networks, or both.
7) they live in a blue state (especially CA, WA, OR, NY, MA, CT, MD, CO, NM)
In case you haven't noticed, a lot of the famous political people and celebrities who have gotten Covid over the past year or two (I've lost count of who they are, a LOT of people), it sure seems like most of them love to wear their masks, even outdoors and in ridiculously unnecessary situations. When you see the vice president Harris wearing a mask OUTDOORS in sunny warm weather with no one nearby, it makes you wonder.

One good thing about masks is that you're not obligated to smile if you choose not to. I had one time a customer tell me.to smile and I said I was (I was wearing a mask at the time) he said he wanted to see and I politely said "im ok with the mask on." He didnt like that and stormed off.

Because the masks don't really stop the microscopic particles of material (which our noses and brains translate into "scent" or "odor") that are floating around in the air, and you breathe in through the masks.
