For the last 3 weeks we have had stuff come in on the order that we didnt even need and some items just keep coming in. Our manager is always on his phone even when ordering I dont think hes actually paying attention and is just scanning whatever at times. And they cry about other employees listening to music? All these extra items are getting outta hand we dont need 22 cases of Taco Bell sauce or 18 cases of white vinegar

Did you look at the bills to see if the product was added out by someone from corporate? If the product was added out, it will say you ordered zero but then it will say it sent however many and under adjustments it will say + however many were added out. Stuff like that is not the fault of the people at store level.
You need all of it! Take it and be happy you still have a job! Don't question me! Taco Bell is important! White Vinegar is important! I hope you are having a good day! I LOVE YOU! Just do your job! Have a wonderful day! If you think 22 cases of shi"t" is bad, think again! Bye! Kroger is life!
As the other poster said, often product is forced into the stores thru distributions.
A manager can look at the order when it opens and remove products that have high forecasts. They can order the store. (CAO is supposed to do the ordering and only works 75% if the BOHs are correct). Occasionally, there will be a high forecast for something that is unrealistic. But, 30 minutes before the order closes, there is an auto order refresh. It can add over 600 cases. After the order is sent and can not be edited, corporate adds anything they want to get out of the warehouse. We won't know everything they added until after it is delivered.
We sell 40+ cases of white vinegar a week so that is not a big deal for our store as long as someone replenishes it. lol. good luck with that. I order 3 to 6 cases a night.
