I'm so tired of customers getting pissed off about side departments being closed mid day due to lack of staff. I can not tell you how many people ask if it's open when the lights are off and closed sign up.
Same with the front end. Our store is only staffing cashiers in the register during prime times. Rest of the day is apparently self check out like it or not. I am so tired of people getting nasty over there being no cashier. Good f-u-ck it's not the end of the world to go through sco. If you have < 5 items pleas just fu-c-ken go through sco.

Even during hard times when these a-holes are having a good time with plenty of slaves to abuse, there will be goofs who know when a dept is supposed to close, even hang around the store waiting. What kind of nut deliberately waits until one minute to closing and walks up with twenty minutes worth of demands? Also, closing a dept may take more than a few seconds, management.

Agreed. If in deli,I can understand if the hotcase is closed or cooking is done. But for a sandwich, it shouldn't be a big deal. So what? Dirty up a knife, to cut thr sandwich in half. Reclean a slicer.
As for salads, dirty up that spoon and put it in a container. If it's that much of a deal, announce over the intercom xxx debt is closing in xxx min. If you need prepared food please come and do so now.
