Does anyone else work in a store that is so hot you sweat? I shop at another Kroger and that store is nice and cold. I don't know if they don't know how to use the system or they don't care. It has been mentioned to management. It was cold one day last week, in this heat this is ridiculous. Even the vendors and customers have complained to me, I wish they would complain to management, maybe they would do something.

Sometimes I wonder if it depends on the body chemistry of the managers. If they are sensitive to hot weather, they might tweak the thermostats and force the AC to work as hard as possible cooling the store. If they like warm temps, they may keep the thermostat a little on the warmer side.
But I agree, some stores feel almost too cold - this is not good for the average human body - to jump up and down, back and forth between extremely hot weather outside and almost chilly inside.
However sometimes it's just because you are close to lots of hardworking refrigeration units --- in the deli, dairy, produce and meats areas. The cooler the better -- stuff will rot just a teensy bit slower!!

The keywords in your post are work and shop. If I'm working, I think the store is warm. However, if I go in on my day off to shop, I think the store is cold.
Our's was pretty warm for the previous 2 years - they claimed the A/C was broken a lot - apparently it's properly fixed now. They also told us the thermostat was controlled by people in Ohio.
Anyhow, you would sweat - drip down your forehead, and get wet underarms, even with anti-perspirant (of course I wear it) just walking through the store, shopping for Clicklist.
Then, as soon as you get one cool day, they say, OK, no more shorts! It's too cold! Then you're back to sweating again. Oh, and they stop using the A/C so much after just one cool day. The air inside is just stale and stagnant. But, meh, not like Kroger cares. We waste our breath, as usual.
