Screwy paystub

They switched to a new format and it's really screwed up.  The good thing is I did get paid correctly, I think.  The bad thing is the totals are all screwed up.  On things like gross pay, taxes, overtime earnings, and health insurance copay the current totals and the year to date totals are the same.  It also says I've only taken one vacation this year.  I've taken three and I've been paid for them.  The whole thing is just a big mess.

OP here. I checked my paystub again and it's not quite right. I worked the same number of hours on this paystub as on the one before. Everything should be the same but it's not. The newer paystub is showing $6.70 less net pay. I compared the two and the taxes and other deductions are identical except it's showing a city tax for Jeffersontown (J-Town as refered to by the locals) KY. I don't live in J-Town. I never have. And I've certainly never paid tax on it.

The new paystub in my time is really confusing to read through yes I agree. I can't figure out how many hours I worked that week. The old stub was as clear as day and even the most challenged could read it. Now you need to be an experienced pay check reader or have taken accounting classes to even understand it. I have no frig-gen clue where anything is on it any more.

The new format might be a bit annoying but if you read through it all, everything is there. Just differently laid out.

For your union dues: per the other comment: The union asks you if you want to take out the whole allotment out all at once or a tiny bit every other paycheck. The first union dues will be expensive but much less after that. I average about $10 about every other paycheck.

The only time I know when you have to send them money is: If you are on educational leave but still employed in the system. Or, are on some sort of fmla leave and still active in the computer. Or have some sort of leave that's longer than 3 months.

I use to send the union checks but when they started getting unreliable in depositing them that's when I did paycheck withdrawal. More than once I had to declare a cease on a check because they so called "lost it" in their office more than once. A signature on demand forced them to search for it. Legally they could not tell me "we never got it."  It took them two days to find it.

I think the whole My Time My Info system was designed by Sheldon Cooper, or someone just like him.  You know, the type that has to over-complicate even the simplest task.
