Okayyy so on Sunday I applied through indeed then Monday I had an interview and whatever I went in an did fine. At the end of the interview I was given a paper on The front was some dress code thing and on the back was some stuff to bring to orrentation and was told about that and stuff. I was told to apply through the actual site when I got home and I did and then that was it for Monday. On tuesday i was messaged with a job offer around 10 am and soo it was whatever and was fine and I soooo I took the offer and stuff and then was messaged that later in the day or tomorrow I would get a thing to do a background check and I got it at around 6pm. So the next day I check the background check and see the results and its said like meets company stands and all and says in a little log thing that like it was sent to them and all so Im like okayy I should get a message to like go on to next part the orrentation thing and uhhhh nope its Saturday now and not a message... Is this like normal does it usally take this long or like whats happening and stuff like did I actually not get it but I was given a job offer like why bother giving that and background check if like they would just never message Me back.. its really annoying does this happen often with Kroger???? Uhhhhhhhghhhhh
You may never learn what really happened. Sorry that it did, but now just move on.
I've seen it be where someone was cleared on a BC, actually worked a full day...and then was fired the next because something trickled in under the wire.
I've seen where a file was misplaced, the new hire forgotten; where the manger who did the hiring was suddenly fired over something unrelated, and the new hire gets forgotten.
I've seen it where holiday season hires were axed by the dozens, all because store management over spent on their hiring budget. So HR had to call em all at home and tell them not to show up for that new job they were counting on to buy their kids Christmas toys with.
Reatil sucks big d i c k s, just stay away from it.
If it takes them longer than 2 weeks to reply to you start seeking else where. I found if a company takes longer than 2 weeks to reply it isn't a good sign to begin with. Kroger has such high turn over you can reapply in 6 months when people quit again.
Chances are you got lost in the paper work and they haven't finished it yet.
Or, your file got held up in the background check process for what ever reason and it's just waiting in the line.
You may need to contact hr and pressure them to finish your application file. This happened to me at one job. My file got hung up in the paper work and after about 3 months they accepted. In that time I found another job (i.e. this one kroger) and I told them no. If it takes a company longer than 7-10 days to reply that's not a good sign.
That's modern technology for you. When I was hired, I filled out a paper application. I went to orientation that night and started work the next day. There was no drug test or waiting two weeks or more for a background check. If something did show up, then at least you got to work rather than just sitting around waiting.
