I'm fortunate to reside in a state that doesn't get much snow except between Dec-early Feb and we don't get much. I work with a couple people who call out for the entire duration of a snow event. and yet they don't get fired or punished for it. How many days can you call out and still be safe before they enact the attendance protocol on you?
I'm not sure but if I were to guess it would probably be the usual three days. I also live in an area where there isn't much snow except during the winter months. What gets me is the way people panic and load up their carts when so much as a small drop of rain falls. Now live in the country and it is a bit different. Usually I'm lucky enough to either let management know the day before that I won't be coming in or if the weather gets too severe there is a motel just up the road from the store.
