Our HR manager refused to sign my 4 time sheets. Said she had to "go thru the security video" to verify I worked the hours listed. Our Admin printed out the sheets and indicated which sections had to be signed. Thank god our store manager recognised the problem-said he was "going to sign these and get (me) paid." Otherwise I would have been looking at 2-3 weeks before I got the money-and another union complaint filing. Also said she wanted to talk to our fuel lead to make sure I showed up for the shifts I punched in for. Yikes....I may go ahead and file a complaint anyway-after I get the money. Thoughts?
HR can be real bad news. Person running things and trying to make stuff happen usually less so. No actual policy decisions can be made by anyone who can be identified, to avoid problems with outside authorities. So from manager to manager, from store to store conditions are unpredictable and plausible denial maintained.
Your paper over ride sheet? File a union grievance for lost pay.
The company forces over rides at kronos time clock. If you could of gotten one easily but refused to do so yes the manager has all the right to refuse signing paper over rides. You have the right to file a union grievance and I highly suggest you do so if you even want to see one cent of your pay.
