Poor training is universal at Kroger?

I'm curious if all Kroger has poor training periods? Because I see high expectations for someone who just transferred into a new department with tons of new tasks thrown. What happened to diversity? We all different.

I guess kroger is meant for fast learners.

No.

Kroger is only for children, retards, and addicts.  Or salaried management.  But I repeat myself.

We are at an extraordinary and tremendously exciting inflection-point where ordinary adults can't work here anymore.

Full time in a punishment department at MAXXX PAY is three paychecks for a one bedroom ghetto special apartment.  Part time is like 6 or 7 paychecks unless you have Section 8.  Which everyone short of salaried management qualifies for, but has to get on a several year waiting list for.

Children can walk here because their parents make them.

Retards only work here until an ASM makes them park their bicycle outside or until they get fired for perceived or actual sexual harassment.

Addicts only work here until they can get high or drunk enough to be fired for tardies or no-call no-shows, and I'm getting real close personally.

Normally abled adults make $3.00+ an hour at Walmart or flipping burgers.

And that's why we have a union.  They gave me a coupon for a dollar off a car wash... when I can afford a car.

I mean, working here, I can't.  A whole dollar off tho.  Think about that.

That's why we have a union.

Every where is now. The worker shortage----for what ever reasons behind it all----is a real thing, and the result is employers are desperate as drowning swimmers: they cling to the scant few they can find, and clutch at them so fiercely the whole operation ends up sunk to the bottom.

It has produced a climate where nobody is really properly trained to do anything. I work part time in health care, and in the hospital setting, this trend is insane. Retail or restaurants are are bad enough to be staffed by morons.....but in a place where people's lives are in the balance?!

Yea. This ain't gonna get better any time soon.

Ah, a real Catch 22 conundrum:

The work is retard easy.

But only retards want to work there, and they need their hands held for everything.

Yes, but actually no.  Also, **** you.

Generally speaking, the work is actually quite difficult.

Not only physically, but also emotionally, economically, and temporally.

Everything is heavy and leaky.

The only people who treat you worse than management are customers.

Pay is a dime over minimum wage.  Part time only.

And you get random shifts so you can't even hold a second job or take a class.

The worst part is that's not even (usually) the point of nightmare scheduling.  Scheduling is just completely ****ed.

There's no handholding.  And no training.

Walmart helps retards get government benefits.  And regular employees too.  Our union refuses to.

I'm just glad we have a union.

Yes. Documentation of training is another matter. If you get killed, they want the jury in civil court to know that you documented loads of training that never happened.

A philosopher might ask, "What is the nature of training?"

But it only takes one Rodney to ask, "How many billion dollars of stock buybacks can we afford this quarter?"

I'm just glad we have a union.

Without the union, I wouldn't have, uh, some one time use coupons.

Dangit.
