rippin everything off they can from ALL these retail stores cuz the prices are so damn high. swear I didn't use to be like this but in the last coupla yrs they turned me this way
Kroger only prosecutes employees. Poorly. Sometimes. Each LP only has two or three dozen stores, but employees are their sole target.
Smarter stores like Kmart and Walmart have multiple LP per store, TOTALLY AWESOME CAMERAS (Target has the best cameras google it) instead of vhs quality nonsense, and build a case until they can prosecute for a felony.

What a joke. Modern retail is helpless against this. They do a lot to screw themselves in all the measures they don't take to prevernt or stop theft-----which is in epidemic proprtions, and just getting worse by the week.
I have friends who work in loss prevention, and to a one they're disgusted by the whole don't give a sh!t attitude of the retailers themselves. That, and legally there's almost nothing you can do even if you catch a thief in the act----in most states, if you're not an actual certified cop, you can yourself get in legal trouble and/or fired for even touching a suspect.
Crazy, int it? I remember when shop lifters got body tackled and literally beat up before the cops got there.

Those were the good old days. I once saw LP stop a guy from stealing liquor and had him secured on the ground outside. His son which couldn't be older than 14 went to hit one of the security over the head with a fallen bottle of beer. Security guys partner grabbed that kid and slammed him to the ground hard enough the kid actually bounced. He too got detained.
Nowadays security are all snowflakes, and LP is obsessed with watching employees
