If you know you missed a punch then get with the payroll person in the store. Its your responsibility plus they dont care and will just put whatever if you dont say something.

Theoretically they could but it would be falsifying a time record. I mean it's pretty easy to prove whether you were there or not. Also, your breaks and lunch would be on record, unless you didn't punch any of those either. The worse they could do is not pay you for that day until you fix your punch, but they can't close it out and say you didn't work at all. They'd be in big legal trouble if they did that.

They can't just put in whatever. Employers can change time sheets but they must also be accurate and show the true number of hours worked. If the payroll doesn't know how many hours you worked, they can't just guess and put anything down. Before we switched to My Time, our payroll person was constantly paging people asking them what time they left yesterday because they forgot to punch out. Generally people are truthful since it's illegal to falsify a time sheet whether it's done by the employee or employer. Usually if someone puts in an out punch that is significantly different from what they were scheduled, the payroll person will contact the person's supervisor to confirm it, at least ours does.
Sort of true. The punch correction isn't done by a person but it is done by the time keeping program.
You might be shorted 2 to 4 hours depending on if you take a lunch or not.
On Saturday evening, you should log into MyTime and check all your punches and fix yourself. You should check your punches daily while they are fresh in your mind. Payroll is done on Sunday morning. After payroll is done, then you have to go to the CSM that does payroll and ask them to fix the punch. You will be paid for on the next payday.
Kroger has to pay you for all hours worked or they get in trouble with the labor commission.
