Is there anything that led up to the customer being accused? The U-Scan terminal could have glitched, which is the most common thing to happen. Or it could have been human error either with the customer or the cashier. Or the customer actually did try to take something and kicked up a fuss to get their way. The story is a little short on info to come to a conclusion.
