You dont need to show ID to these associates. They are using this as a excuse to commit identify theft and steal info.

The **** do we even care about your stupid ID?  You really think we even have time to write down what we saw while serving 50 customers a day?  Or even remembering the right info after a glance?   You dont want to show ID to us then dont shop at our stores.  or just dont buy products that need IDs.

You forgot your ID or its expired?  Tough ****, take it up with corporate.

If you dont care then stop crying like a little bitch about it. And ours? You dont own store or stock from Kroger youre just another trained pleb doing work a monkey could do better. I dont have to take it up with no one. Ill get what I need and want period! You dont like it? Then go make tacos at Taco Bell.

Exactly!!!! I for one will NOT loose my job because A customer has a baby fit because they have to show their ID. Deal with it. I once told a customer who kept badgering me to let him slip "just this one time." I politely refused each time and even politely said "I will not loose my job because I failed to see ID."

That statement for some reason cut off the guy's air supply because he turned a shade of 'EXTREMELY passed off red.'

You guys remember when old time Wrestler Rick Flair would turn red when he yelled when riled up after a match? That's the color that was on the customer's face. He screamed that he was going to calm corporate to get me fired. He demanded my name and I told him my name was Youdunna Needtono.

He was so mad that he didn't realize I had my name badge on.

The word you want is lose.  Loose is an adjective.  Then of course there's loss, which is a noun.

I'm so glad I don't cashier any more so I don't have to deal with this bull sh--it. Most customers in my area have adjusted to it by now but you still get that 5% of people who will just fight anything that has governmental authority at them.

This is BS corporate policy that only benefits them.  There are no state laws requiring ID check for those obviously above the legal age to purchase alcohol in their state.  Kroger must have been sued for selling alcohol to underage persons.  Too bad, your corporate problems are you own.  Do not push down your problems on your customers.  Many other grocery stores in my state do not follow Kroger's ID check policy, so that's where I shop now.  More moronic corporate behavior, unfortunately this sort of thing is becoming the norm.  Sad.

In the Local 1996 Atlanta GA area cashiers MUST ask for ID when purchasing alcohol. Out in the Fuel Center we can ask for ID on cigarettes/cigars/and lighters. Only if we suspect someone is underage can we ask for ID. Happened to me several months ago-obvious underage kid wanted chewing tobacco. Said he didn't have iD on him and that he would go to the car to get it. He never came back! :)

Associates asking to see ID when they know the person is over 55 is just then trying to commit identity fraud. Pure associate scum at its finest.
