Meat if you don't mind handing raw meat all day. Or smelling like fish because of the seafood department. Shifts will be more day localized while bakery can range from a 5 am start to a 10 pm finish. Some people like this schedule but if you're like me a 330 am up does not work as you're probably a 1/3 into your sleep. Keeping in mind during winter times you have to deal with rds that have not been maintained well when snow or storms roll through. 5 am starts suck as if you need to call out sick you can't. You have to call the store the night before and no one passes these messages to day crew and 7 am is 2 hrs into your shift so it gets counted as a no call no show. Meat your schedule is much more open and meat leads are under their own contract so your job duties will be strictly restricted to that area. Meat leads tend to make more than any other position in the store. Please go slow and try not to cut off any fingers when cutting meat. If you take your time and do things safely it shouldn't be a problem and please wear the damn cut glove many refuse to wear. It takes 10 seconds to put it on and save your self a laseration.
