People are grumpy, miserable, and unhappy. the longer you work in it the more you despise society. Not to mention all the b.s. you have to deal with from customers.

This is the most absolute truth ever. Front end is dog sh-it. Avoid at all cost.
Deli is only bad if it's all women. Women cannot work together in groups larger than 3 or 4 people. There's always going to be at least one who feels she is being treated unfairly or being excluded. Women are less likely to engage in catty behavior if there's at least a couple men around.
Dairy is throwing around crates of milk until you get written up for not cashiering. Or getting written up for cashiering instead of throwing around crates of milk.
