Today, thusfar, has been a sh1tshow. I come in and find that I am helping floral. Ok...not a problem. So I'm helping build a balloon arch to go over 2 of our checkstand (named 'lovers lane') and also i am helping put out GMC product and staying on top of clicklist as well. So i am clocked out for lunch when a clicklist order decides to show up. I ignore the pings the scanner is giving and then the phone decides to ring and ring. I ignore that as well. Our PIC runs into the breakroom to inform me of the arrival and how the phone has 5+ missed calls. I inform him that I am on lunch and tell him to have one of our other clicklist crew do it. He tells me hes working in floral up front (ok...and?) And suggests I come of early to deliver.
I decide not to and the pic has no choice but to deliver. He wants to use my scan in and I refuse. No way am I letting him use my number especially that hes pissed off because I didn't cme.back early. He delivers the order albeit late and then starts shopping another order. I come back from lunch and see no new orders but the one he is working on. The order has turned itself a deep pinkish red meaning it is late. I continue on my shift working.
Cant wait and see what hes going to say this time. Last time I was "supposed to" take the "initiative and come back early" because I am "more faster and efficent" and that hes "slow" (hes just lazy af)

Thatll never happen. Look at how many are STILL here! Sure, Kroger can be BS, but lots of other jobs are just as BS, even in different ways. It all depends on how much BS you can just let slide and keep going, and thats the tough part. No matter where you go, you will encounter BS, too! Many managers who may have taken their BS to Kroger spread the same BS around at other companies they may have worked for in the past, which means those companies and corporations are probably full of it, too! It feels like its the nature of the beast everywhere these days! And those who cant see the BS are not truly honest with themselves and their situation. Sometimes you might have to dig a little deeper, but its there!
