Okay, so to my coworker who is accustomed to waking up at 5 am kudos to you that you can do that. Get a reality check stop reaming into your coworkers that function better on day shifts or late pm shifts. Face it if the entire world operated on the same shift nothing would get done. I my self have never been a morning person. Sure I set an alarm to be up no later than 9 am but you can stop making fun of me for being on this schedule. Not all of us can get up 3 hours before dawn. I despise the shifts that make me get up at 6 am and get sleep deprived when I try and change my arcadian rhythm. I have never been able to adjust to that schedule in my life not even when I was in high school. You need to realize the whole world does not operate around you. Sure the early bird morning shifts might work for you but not everyone wants that damn schedule. (Fyi, I hear reports of coworkers telling me you are frequently 10-30 min late every day. So don't complain to me about not being able to start at 6 am.)

Full timers have no say so in when they can and cant work. Open schedule is required. too bad. Part time people can say no but then will probably get their hours reduced to 12 hours for the next few weeks. Just quit

Put in what your availability hours are. I did that (said I was not available before 12 Noon)-it has worked out nicely.
