This game of the company turning a blind eye to lack of staff is getting old. Current staff is worked to exhaustion and it causes us to become ill or develop health issues that go on for a while. I feel bad when I call out because there is zero coverage but that is the cost the company has decided to make by not staffing enough people. Our store managers let dozens of people work sick this last month coupled with a lack of sanitation hours being cut is making people sick as well. This shows me that this company clearly does not care about you. I use to call out monthly but now it seems to be bi monthly. Fall quarter is starting soon and I'll gladly welcome some down time.

As long as your department keeps meeting its goals, they're going to keep cutting hours.  That business about if your sales increase, we'll give you more hours is a bunch of baloney.  What they're really saying is since your department is making a profit, we can cut the hours and still make money.  By the way, bimonthly means every two months.  Semimonthly means every half month.

I'm not an idiot. You didn't need to define every thing I wrote.

Had really bad exhaustion symptoms to the point where my headache was disabling. I can not drive when I'm like that and hurled a couple times. Yea, you're glad I didn't come in. I probably would of worked a couple hrs then just left.

Never feel bad for calling at especially at Kroger. Enjoy the day instead. You only live once.

Turns out it was food poisonings. As I bought food that day and ate it that means someone failed to put it back in a timely manner or the fridge was struggling holding temp. If it takes longer than 10 min to put cold back just toss it. Thank you. Oh, when power goes out tell people so they can toss the food they have in the break room fridge.

A good slave will always do as it is told. A really good slave will give its life for the master. Kroger really does want to bring back slavery. They always push for that. Robots can't suffer. Really, that's it. Place is run by bad crazies.

Man the excuses that associates come up with to avoid work is laughable.
