Our cashier was left alone at 9PM and the store was still slammed. Our Fuel Center had one call out because she lives so far away and it would have been dangerous for her to drive

RE: Did any stores close early in the Local 1996 Atlanta GA area due to the storm? Or have delayed openings the next day

Leave early and drive slow and youll be fine. I swear ASSociates use any excuse to not have to work. She should be fired for job abandonmen. just pitiful
They're happy if you can just make it in. Like most snows you bunker down until the roads get plowed then if you can make it out you go in. Then again that also depends on your snow skill driving ability.
A lot of people that live in snow areas and don't shut down when you get snow you just stay home until the roads are plowed. Depending on your area that could be say 2 or 3 when you can head out again. Snow driving isn't fun I get it. It's honestly safer to stay home and ride it out than risk getting stranded or having to deal with the massive insurance headache if you attempt to go out.
I'm lucky and just bunk with my family members 15 min from work so I don't have to miss too many shifts.

Leave early: They'll call it job abandonment.
We had people get stuck at our store all night just recently. The roads were too dangerous to drive and there were many cars on the sides of the road where people left them because it's too dangerous to drive.
People want to care about their jobs, but here's a shocker: People care about their well being over Kroger's money!
