I was taught to be thankful for what I had even if it was second hand, well used but the item still got the job done. Or even if it was food and it wasn't perfect and beautiful or in the most prime condition of edible. If it doesn't make you sick eat it. I'm tired of kroger training customers to want the best of the best and I'm getting sick of the pre medina's wanting perfect produce or merchandise.
I grew up in a family that was tight and borderline between poor and low middle class. We were thankful for what we had and our parents taught us to not be picky. If you're too picky, you'll starve. I honestly give customers two lenience's on produce I fetch for them and after that I tell them it's this or nothing. It's frustrating dealing with this group of clients.
I've been studying the bible recently and be you like it or not when you harass employees at stores it is actually a sin. Many people do not realize this.
It's the same way in the bakery department. I had some woman the other day hand me a meringue pie and wanted me to reduce it because some of the meringue had stuck to the lid. I said no. It's still going to taste the same.
What about the cake (? or was it a cookie-can't remember) that had misspelled words allegedly for that fake holiday Juneteenth? The picture went viral but I don't know what store it was at

That was in Atlanta, Georgia. Just do a search using the terms juneteenth cake viral. Messaging aside, they look like they were decorated by someone who shouldn't be decorating cakes. My store, and probably all the other stores in the area, did nothing for Juneteenth. It wasn't even thought about. We did get some cupcakes in for Pride Month though. They never got put out. They ended up being scanned out for donation for the local food bank. Everyone in the bakery department, including me, is very Conservative. We're not going to push stuff like that.
