Purposely not writing the schedule OR posting it before end of week
Permalink

I just became nightlead last week for grocery. I mentioned to my HR who CONSISTENTLY tries to act like some sort of ultra assistant manager that they don't know how to write a proper schedule. I have a crew of 6 people plus myself. On a regular load night I'm usually scheduled at least 4 people. On repack nights, it's usually just 2. Last week they scheduled me with 2 workers on the last load night of the week (Friday). One person is still rather new, and the other person was light duty and has a back injury. Mind you, this was on a load night. Half of the load didn't get thrown because of the bull**** cards that were forced upon me to play.

The next night, the repack night, the other 3 of my workers who are fully capable to work the night prior were forced to stock whatever pallets that weren't worked the night prior. Now, here we are approaching the new work week, and they purposely didn't write a schedule at all. It's as if management is fighting against me when I did nothing to deserve this. I mentioned one thing to them about them not knowing how to write a proper schedule. Now, they just plain didn't write one at all. The store director is in on it, as well as the assistant managers. I'm a full time employee, topped out, locked in, etc. I've been with the company since 2014. I know when I'm being f--cked with, and this is clearly the moment right here. I'm thinking about not even showing up tonight (12am) just to send them a message since clearly they're showing me that they give zero f-cks at all about scheduling. And I'm also contacting the union about this. I take my job seriously. But it seems as if management does not take me seriously.
