I swear our store has entered en****ificaiton mode. Staff is flakey as heck. Gen z workers are infuriatingly mind numbing to work with all damn day. Those of us that started 2-3 decades ago are stuck working with no-bro's, low brows and people that have no motivation nor drive. It sucks working with this crowd because I swear my iq has dropped several points working with them. No store leadership enforcing well zero policies and procedures. Staff has high call outs and management isn't doing sh--it about it. Staff take as long as a break as they want and make up their own schedules. You have staff that disappear into the voids of the store and you never see them again until the end of their shifts. The scheduling is a mess because you can now work where ever now minus meat/seafood and staff doesn't know how a rotating schedule works so we have tons of roles go unfilled...... Our store goes through management like crazy and flakey staff just slip through the cracks. The union protects the flakey workers more than those that need it. Our union has also entered en****ification mode and don't get me started on them. They have lost us many rights over the past several contracts and our working rights as a union store has frankly gone to cr---ap.
