Hey so ive been having health issues since Thursday. I was rushed to the ER Saturday morning and came back to work Monday ( I was off Sunday). Doctor told me no heavy lifting till we can figure out about whats going on with my bod. management telling my I many need to go on leave.

 

Can I get paid if I do a medical leave? I am a part time employee and been with Kroger for 5 years.

The answer to your question is no.  Kroger will only pay you if you are injured on the job and it's their fault.  Getting Kroger to admit fault is the problem.  They'll do everything they can to put the blame on you.  That's why I never sign anything.

I was reading through the fmla disability clause and yes this classifies as emergency disability leave if in the hospital for more than 72 hrs. Your dr will have to present them paper work disabling you from your role but keep in mind you won't get pay for that time. Maybe you're lucky and have sick pay or vacation to supplement. If you present work this and they belittle you and your condition worsens, it is a work comp claim at that point. Legally they have to get you back to pre standing condition before they are free of the duty of taking care of your health.
