Question how do you guys or girls get case counted on stocking? I do 144 an hour with only stocking but with blocking/recovery I do like 53. I'm not sure which is the right way to do case count. I'm from HEB if someone from HEB reads this please explain how they do it on your store.
Case count does include stocking time and cleaning up your cardboard, does not include breaks, breaking the pallets down, conditioning/scans/backstock etc
Big sale on 12 pack ramen noodles. This was my one time stocking truck. I did over 500 of those "cases" in my one hour's worth of work, so I am the best. Don't try to tell me I'm not. I stocked more than you can or ever will achieve.
I am a girl who worked for fred meyer for 9 years. I now work for safeway/Albertsons and I feel so sorry for you lot. Reading through your messages and bragging about your case counts...
I throw an average of 120 an hour, have always been the best freaking freight clerk on the team... but it's really sad how the Kroger structure treats us that do the most back breaking work.
If you consider yourself fast working for Kroger, go work at any other grocery store after that kind of training. It's ridiculous how much your outshine any of these non kroger associates.
It all depends really. Ive worked at a few different grocery stores 2 HEBs actually. HEB, I throw 100-200 cph depending on the aisle thats stock/block/trash currently. At my first HEB it was 80-120cph thats stock/block/riser/trash. People are comparing on here that dont know other stores requirements for case count. HEB has a lot of tray packing so it is definitely possible to to 300+ on cans for a well experienced stocker, Also rotation isnt really a must For dry grocery. That being said, Ive worked at other stores like Tom Thumb as a night manager which kroger was our main competitor who actually tried stealing me away a few times. At TT theres bo cardboard aloud on the shelf so everythings coming out as well as facing vs blocking which is far more tedious and time consuming. Lastly rotation was mandatory!
Side note: I too used to think 100+ wasnt possible. I started at 60cph straight stock!
Riser/Skyshelf/Overhead= All one in the same for those who may not know.
Blocking= Stocking front to back, back to front/waterfall product
You are all full of bs, the typical company stocking requirements are 50-60 per hour. That is one case per minute. The average case is 12 pieces. You are not throwing over 60 an hour unless it is bulk or water.
I hardly pay attention to this nonsense. Obviously the longer it takes for you to throw, the longer you'll remain in that aisle, the longer you'll remain at work. Just throw as fast and as accurate as you can and get the hell outta there. Why limit yourself to a number?
Yall all on some bull****. i be throwing up a solid 80 cases an hour. ****s easy. yall just some pussies. If you grab two cases at a time that go near each other, use two hands to stock, power walk everywhere and break down your boxes fast then anyone can get 80 cases an hour no problem. Dont even say Im capping either, theres a reason it only took me 2 months to become the highest paid person next to managers.
Oh btw if you say you can throw up 120 cases an hour You definitely a liar and your moms a hoe. If I literally run up and down the isle than I can barely hit that. So I know damn well yall dumb ass bitche s arent getting that smh
most stores dont case count, but my store does. the highest Ive thrown was 120 cases an hour just straight stocking no fronting/blocking or breaking down boxes. When I front/block and break down boxes I hit 85 an hr. Also speed varies depending on what aisle your stocking. Depending on if the shelves are spaced for case pack.
The most any of us on our severely understaffed team does is 90 an hour. Following the new system that we have to be audited on its impossible to keep high numbers regularly so im assuming yall are just saying **** the system? I don't know about everyone else but we're exhausted by the time we split up to individual aisles.
In a quick-moving area like online basic food items, it very well may be hard to keep on top of the relative multitude of patterns. Tracking down a solitary dependable wellspring of information that gives a canny and practical perspective on the thing is really occurring on the ground is frequently similarly testing. I work as Safeway Employee and the run of the mill organization loading prerequisites are 50-60 every hour. That is one case each moment. The normal case is 12 pieces.
ON my Night Crew I have Me The Grocery Manager and 1 stocker right now, We have a Truck 5 days a week, Every one is Over 1000 pieces. I through over 300 cases an hour plus we have to face the store. We get this done every night with no overtime.
How is your night crew?
Well if you are stocking a store with just 2 coworkers and not getting overtime you are a fool. You are definitely in a small store but still that is bull**** to work that hard. When you back goes out, Kroger is going to cast you out and hire your replacement and pay him 10 bucks an hour.
I can also throw 120 cases per hour. If you know your area, you learn how to scan the pallet and know every move you're gonna make. You're thinking about where the next one goes while you're stocking the one before it. Sorry if you can't throw that many....some people are just slower.... and thats ok... ;)
300 cph. That sounds like water, paper, and dog food bags.
Only two of us to stock and condition over 1000 pc loads as well. And that pace is BS. While it is good that one can achieve these numbers.Soon it becomes expected. Kroger is the second place I had worked. The first place closed or I'd still be there.Anyways,I am 57 and throw 154 to 120 Depending on how bad the conditioning is that day.We don't just pull one forward.
I work at an HEB in Texas and i can do 140-200 an hour without a block it takes me about 20-30 minutes to do the block I use this strategy because it seems easier for me im not talking about full cases im talking about putting in singles and even stocking single cans on top of another. This also includes throwing away any trash i come along with.

The minimum case count is 60cph I know there are many people who believe it is absurd to do over 60 cases but it isn't our fault your hand eye coordination is slow not everyone is the same. I am considered the fastest at my store but i believe there has to be someone faster than me. My tip is to leave all the trash for the end and cut all cases you are going to open and stock to reduce time wasted its all about how well you manage your time. Sometimes i do like to take my time and go a bit slower whenever i feel unmotivated and i do 80 cases an hour when i do that with a slow pase its not really about how fast you go its about how well you manage your time.
i stock a case and then scratch my butt, have a sip out of my flask, and head to the bathroom for a 30 minute dump. by the time it's 3 hours into my shift, i stock another case!
Bull there is no way you throw 300 an hour. Lol come on read what you wrote. Ok you said truck is never over 1000 cases, so then why do you have 2 people helping you. You can do your whole truck with hours to spar at 300 an hour..an you should only be scheduled 4 hours a shift then. If you do 300 an hour what are the other 2 people doing? Watching you? I've done this for 5 years an never seen anyone come close. I average 80 after 5 years on my worst night. Lol you funny
This guy says his truck is over 1000 cases a night so let's say for the sake of arguement the truck 1200 cases what he says that he stocks 300 an hour another guy stocks about the same and there is a 3rd guy... so he is saying it takes them less then 2 hours to stock the WHOLE TRUCK? I call bullcrap. 300 cases an hour means you are stocking 5 cases a minute let's say it takes 2 seconds to cut open the case 2 seconds times 5 cases that is 10 seconds.. now you have 50 seconds of that minute left.. let's say it takes 4seconds for you to transfer the case from the pallet to where you are stocking it 4 seconds times 5 cases is 20 seconds that is half your minute right there so you are saying it takes you less then 30 seconds to take the product out of 5 boxes and put it on the shelf.... if that was truly possible which it is NOT I promise you items in that store are not being rotated
All the CLOWNS in here talking about they can do 100+ an hour are either stupid or full of ****. Theyre probably taking dumps while playing that silly game fartnite or smoking in the bathroom. Probably jerkin it too
Is faceing the selves apart of the time or case count ??
Sadly, no.
Actually, when this post was started way back when, we were expected to run 55 cases per hour and given a certain amount of time to condition/face. Today, the standard is to run and condition 60 cases an hour because the zebra and myday application helps us work more efficiently.
