We all have run into those customers that are beyond quirky and are outright strange...... A girl that was doing put backs comes up to me and tells me people are "creepy". Basically after helping a customer find a baking product made the suggestion to come back to his place to eat the muffins...

How are ELMS scores formulated? How do you know what your score is at the end of your shift? How often do they post them? I am a new cashier. Thank you for your responses.

I heard from a very trusted source that Kroger will start offering employees at least $10.10 an hour as a sign of good faith for the proposed federal minimum wage increase currently being debated. The company wants to pave the way for the future. God bless Kroger!

I was wondering if you are suspended from kroger pending an investigation and you apply for another job while being suspended. If Kroger is called as a reference can HR give out that information?

When e-Schedule was implemented around four months back at the store I'm at, the CSM was told by the people that came out to the store to train him on and others on using the software that he and others could extend shifts when necessary. It was often times necessary because after e-Schedule was impleme...

I was working in the deli today and we noticed a guy eating a hotdog right there at the warmer where we keep them. He's been doing this the last several days and we know he ain't been paying for them. While I was preparing a dinner for one of the guys in the meat dept., he pointed out the guy eating a hotdog, an...

While talking with another employee the topic of managers and being fired came up. In the conversation she told me there was a council that voted on if the person was fired. Does this happen in every store and does one person in management have the authority to just fire someone without consulting othe...

This is the first store, ever, I have been at that has carts that slide sideways and I have been to every mainland state and moved 30+ times. When I say they slide sideways I mean that when stacked together as a courtesy clerk they will slide to the left or right just as effectively as they will forward and b...

Ok, so I was watering the plants outside the store when I apparently didn't close one of the valves tight enough. It wasn't intentional since I made sure the other valve I used was sealed tight (and was). My manager started saying "you owe me water" from the time he asked me to shut it to the ti...

Been working for Kroger for 6 months. Need to call off for the first time on Tuesday for a Doctor appt. Do I call my department and tell them? Or call customer service and ask to speak to a store manager?

Hello, I had an interview for a Pharmacy Manager position last week. Unlike other companies, Kroger had a personal interview in the first round(as other companies hold a telephone interview for the first round). Is this common with Kroger??? How long does it take to hear back from them? (the lady sa...

We are allowed to use them, right? I bought the Hunger Games:Catching Fire at Kroger today that had a coupon to get 3 free items with it. Only after I used them did I wonder if we were allowed to. I mean, I got $40 worth of items for like $16. But they were manufacturer's coupons... They can't get upset about...

Was wondering if other stores had the same amount of training that we had at our store today, when the new cashier key boards were installed..........that would be none.

A few nights ago the Kroger on the other side of town from where I work was robbed. Maybe at gunpoint, hold up note said he had a gun but never showed it. There was no security whatsoever. We use to have security in the evenings. Then only on weekdays and now none. Any of the rest of you have any security...

Does anybody know how often or at what dates new issues come out? I've become curious because I found out a few weeks ago that I was going to be in the next issue for my hard work (along with my sister, her boyfriend, and our front end manager) during both snow storms here in Georgia, and apparently even got...
