I'm trying to keep myself calm but the more I think about what I'm about to type, the higher I can feel my blood pressure rising. I joined the Union back in March 2014. I was 20 at the time & I remember a Union rep. with a clipboard walking all around the store like a f***** Nazi trying to recruit new membe...

So, I've been with my store for over 2 years now... One of the few that have been there since the store opened... Ive done SCO since day one, but last year I started school so I changed my availability and since then I would do SCO twice a week, and be on a register the other two... In the beginning I'd only g...

Anyone on here work in South Carolina East Georgia area? Most stores in East Georgia and Coastal South Carolina were closed. How is it now? I am sure they are open up now. They acted like it really hurt them to close. But when people are told to evacuate they know they have to unless they want to be stuck in s...

Is kroger trying to get rid of the Scan Coordinator position? How soon?

I'm in Colorado not that it's really relevant here... I've worked for Kroger for almost a year and I've been offered a full time position. Will there be medical screening for health insurance purposes? If so, will there be drug testing? I regularly smoke weed (off the clock obviously) and am worried t...

I didn't have any time to talk to my bosses or HR before trying to kill myself, and when you are in a hospital for suicide, you don't get phone access. I didn't have anyone call in for me, except the first day in the hospital, because they wanted to focus on me "getting better". Treatment lasted a bit over 2 m...

I'm still on the less-than-stellar hours. How long does it take for the change I made on not-so-great people to go through? I checked and it still says "pending".

I've noticed that overwhelmingly, the amount of people who order ham salad at the deli are all old people. Once in a while you see someone under 60 ordering it, but not often. Whenever an older person walks up to the chef case I know that they're going to be ordering ham salad and more often than not I'm rig...

Any tips for writing a Letter of Interest? Format, how long and how much information? Thanks

this is probably the stupidest question lol but I've worked at kroger for almost 3 years and don't even know. I went back on register after someone took over for me and forgot to sign them out and didn't realize until almost an hour later, can I get in trouble for doing that? It might have been like a half ho...

When I sign on to Great People.me I get the Great People page but when I try to get may schedule I get an "Internal Server Error" message and can't get in. Please fix this.

We're getting it at my store and I signed up but I still have no idea what this whole thing is about. So you're basically going around the store getting items for customers? How fast do you have to be? How many hours do you typically get? Do you still have to ring people up? So many questions. The prospect o...

New to night stocking in grocery. Sundays we get a double truck so obviously it's gonna take longer but on a normal night this aisle generally has 2-3 pallets worth of **** to run and takes me between around 4-5 hours alone with conditioning (which generally takes 20-30 mins). I know each store is set up...

I have really missed the troll. Is he still around?

I rolled into work this morning to see a large KMP truck that hasn't been sorted. Start sorting it and decide to check schedule to see how much help we have today [almost none] Get the conditioner (who's only working a partial shift today) to come help me instead of conditioning. Finish sorting decide t...

Hi, so I've been with Kroger for quite a few months now (8 to be exact), and I was hired in as a CC. Now, I have had seniority over quite a few newer CCs, and I am one of the "best CCs in our store" according to a few of the front end supervisors. I always come in when they need me, I stay late when they ask, and "I mak...

As in, does Kroger actually care about it? I've heard wonderful things about greatpeople so I don't know how much I should trust it. I don't want to end up accidentally skipping work when I just started here.
