We have a 'volunteer sign up sheet' to work Thanksgiving. And yes, I do know that they can STILL schedule you EVEN IF you don't sign up. Therefore I wrote that I would ONLY be able to work a 9am-1pm shift ONLY (as I have FAR MORE important plans that day later on). So who is working? Can they force you to work b...

The burning question

They speed thru our parking lot like there is no tomorrow. Several of us and several of our customers almost have got hit. Has it happened in your store and did the person injured sue and how did Kroger handle the incident? Were police called?

The head of our department always comes to feverishly tell us when we're first in the district or how many sales we made over the weekend or whatever. She always seems giddy with excitement when she tells us about it. And it always just makes me wonder, why should we care? It's not like we're getting a ra...

No "Click List" "Fresh for Everyone"-no ridiculous customer-service initiatives. No emphasis on online ordering or in store pickup.

This lady comes in getting all loud because her EBT card funds were not loaded. She was so loud yelling. Y'all a bunch of cracker honkey ass bitches. The manager escorted her out. 5 or ten minutes later she is back saying she called and the funds were there. She was mad because we started putting items ba...

Our assistant manager then rudely replied "We're good. We're good." I tried to explain that I was just letting them...

I work as a cashier, and for several months the baggers/courtesy clerks and cashiers were evaluated on a weekly basis. But all of a sudden this stopped. Except nothing really changed at the front-end. Why does Kroger do that?

Can you request like a week of unpaid holiday leave? Or is this frowned upon. -- Edited by partyparrot on Sunday 17th of November 2019 02:00:04 AM

I'm starting to think Kroger only hires fat women in the deli. That's a form of shape-ism. The fatter you are, the more likely you'll get the job.

So here's a fun thing I heard from a department head yesterday. Lately my pickup department has been getting more and more people and our schedules have been suffering, it's mostly just 4 or 6 hour shifts. Barely any 8 hour shifts anymore, Everytime I asked about it I was told oh next week we'll have more...

I was hired to work in Clik list (not the front end!). I took this job because I know my limitations..that I am unable to tolerate being watched and stared at by long cashier lines. From day one the clik list dept head was rude, condescending, humiliating. It seems every dept in the store finds her impo...
