We got a memo several weeks ago and the amounts have changed at least in the Local 1996 area regarding PSOC shortages. It used to be $20 to get a "conversation" upstairs now it is up to $50, and the only thing that has not changes is the $100 shortage that could get you terminated or suspended. Are the amoun...

I'm fed up with my current store. I'm tired of running from bad managers each time they come in and display their horridness on the store. I've been unhappy for 6-10 months and this is an ongoing issue. Union has been ignoring our plea for help and only recently gotten involved after filing an ethics rep...

why are most kroger female managers fat? is it a requirement?

I started applying for other jobs outside the kroger family. I am honestly sick of the discrimination our manager has displayed upon me in the past year. The union is utterly useless and wins just turn around to a half win later and some times right back to where the problem started. Nope, done being tre...

I use to always pick up extra hours unless it conflicted with a personal appointment. Our new manager is such a di--ck. He does not fairly distribute hours nor understands the schedule writing rules. He just goes straight to favorites first and if they say no then he goes to his secondary choices. I rec...

The stupid morons from corporate are so obsessed with making sure there's someone there till 7 PM every night that they forgot that they needed someone there in the morning to make the donuts. I'm seeing why this department has a high turn over it's almost like it's cursed to have high turn over. No one is happy and we're all tired of the bs this company is trying to push on its staff. We try hard, work hard and get punished for well working hard to company standards. We're all sick of it and about r...

Do any kroger stores match 401k? Are is it just salaried management? Most companies match up to 5% but I haven't had a match since starting. Maybe a union thing? You either get a pension or a match but not both?

We all got fed up with a regular abusing the markdown privileges. They kept taking advantage of the program. Then later we found out the customer was taking stickers to products we would mark down for them then stick them on cheaper items to get "a good deal." No, in this world that's called theft. The pr...

Has anyone here had any experience with Kroger's "Elevate" program, particularly when it comes to the bakery? I'm in the Louisville Division, and despite the fact that corporate headquarters is only a couple hours away in Cincinnati, we are usually one of the last divisions where new programs are...

There's always that one coworker who tanks a department or is the slacker in the department. They are not on the same level as ASMs. They are probably paid 10k a year less. In my division starting out its only 34k with 4000 bonus potential. I believe ASMs start out 44k with bonus potential. Did they create the position merely to cut down on OT? Working 50+hour weeks for that? You could make more as...
