Has anyone else's store been upgraded? It makes everything much more simple! Its just like a register with options for voiding items, price override, and suspending transaction with a scan of a barcode it prints out each time you sign in. And it doesn't call you over for every little thing anymore. An...

I am meat cutter in a busy store with a bad DH. Should I bid and try to go to store that is closer to me, even if it's not meat?

Best department to be in for the future

How many people are on your front end in total? How many front end CSRs do you have? How many Front end leads do you have? I feel like my store has too many but maybe it is normal.

I wished that I had invested more in it over the years, now that the stocks are at an all time high. But I still have a few more years to work before retirement, I started putting money back in to it a few months ago and I will not quit like I did before.

So I've been working at McDonald's for a few weeks now and I hate it there. Everyone talked me into working there saying how it would be better than Kroger also my sister works there. I honestly want to get rehired at Kroger again. Retail is a lot better than fast food. I felt I made a big mistake leaving Kr...

Long time lurker, first time poster :) Wondering what are pay raise rates for hourly workers at Kroger (for example, a person who start at $11 an hour). Do they give out raises automatically after certain time if one have the same job and duty. Or one have to wait for promotion to get a raise? Thanks

When did we, or rather, when we're we supposed to get notice that they were switching to having to have a 90 day prescription in order to get a refill. I never ever got any sort of notice... I've got one dose left for tonight, I go to refill because I know I have atleast one refill left... and I can't get it r...

Hey Girl, I just saw that you asked me a question about getting an HR gig on an old thread and I never answered you. I am not sure how old you are but it does not really matter. I did not study HR in college originally but I did later get a trade degree in it. You can always get these online in less than a year. ...

Completed two days of doing the slack out so far. And so far have heard I used too much Italian bread for particular things. So they didn't have to back more of particular things. Which doesn't really help shrink I'm sure. And sure I likely screwed up some other things as well. But, I think the biggest was...

Okay, so my next to last pay stub had the following information on it: On "Regular Earning", it had 16.2 hours while for "Other Premium", it had 20.70 hours at a rate of 25 cents. But on my most recent pay stub, the "Other Premium" and "Regular Earning" were exactly the same, 24 hours. Can someone please e...

If you work over time you get told about it, if your job isn't finished you get told about it. But If you call in every week, it's Okay!. Kroger needs to grow some balls and the Union needs to stop backing up lazy workers. Someone from my department called in again this week. I don't remember what her excuse...

These fricking girls at my store act like gang members with their stupid clique. As if they have a right to exclude me because I am new. WTF. Do you really have to pay your dues to work a register and bag? This is a grocery store not Google. FOH! I hate girl aggression. Bunch of sheep. What is terrible is t...
