Do you think that was smart? Do you think Wal mMarwill want to buy out Kroger? Also do you think Kroger CEO will announce his retirement soon?

What is your store policy on calling the police if you witness an animal left in a hot car? I had a customer flag me down in the parking lot to alert me to two small dogs in a car with all the windows rolled up. It was about 70 degrees outside and I am sure much hotter in the car. The woman came out and both of us adv...

Can anyone tell me how to remove the Legal Fund deduction from my payroll? I never signed up for it. Not sure why $8.00 is being taken from my paycheck.

What Kroger Corporate doesn't seem to understand is: 1) The HUGE QUANTITIES of papers being printed and written on each day (and thrown away after a few days, weeks or months, without having really served a useful purpose) is COMPLETELY unnecessary and a TOTAL waste of GOBS of money, not only the cost...

Anyone else's store have a large percentage of people who can't seem to hold a job and are just as flaky and bad as it? They seem to do a half a** job at it and don't seem to care about the quality of their work. All I know is after 2.5 years at this smaller store I'm beginning to realize that most of the staff at t...

According to someone on the other forum, Kroger's updating the software so customers don't have to press the button anymore, it'll just do it for them. But hold on, it only does it if the customer displays their intent by pressing the Pay Now button first. I, personally, have seen a few customers who ne...

Yay! The truth about chaos in Kroger stores, hours being cut, etc, finally has hit a relatively "big time" business news outlet.......... Yesterday at work when I clocked out at 7 p.m., there was only one cashier at the front-end. There was a long line of customers waiting in line. The other cashiers were at the u scans. The FES called over the store intercom for the u scan attendants to pull small orders. Is this Kroger's plan for the front-...

Okay I was just in the office at my store to make a sign for a special we have going on next week and apparently someone just gave their two weeks and left a note. I'm typing this on my cell so sorry for any mistakes. Here is what it says: Dear (manager's name) I'm hereby invoking my 2 week notice as of today be...

Just yesterday my FES told me that our douchebag ASM told her that ALL employees under her watch must wear their name tags or she WILL be written up. She looked him and told him that was NOT happening. And if it does, she'd get her union and they would undo it. Well, that didn't get well with ASM AT ALL. Now AS...

Several people in my store are wondering what the next step would be-is it the same for a manager versus an hourly employee. Another compliant has been filed against her for the same issue she was verbally admonished on.

New bagger here. Today I had to do carts for 30 minutes but WOW was it hot (Checking my phone it was 95 degrees out!) I was by myself and and sweating was rolling down my face by the time I finished. Can anyone give me some tips on how to keep cool under the blistering heat while on cart duty?

We (Mid-Atlantic) were told that starting next week, any cash back request of $1.00 to $100 will incur a $0.50 fee. Do y'all know if this fee can be waived in any way (either through a Kroger Plus card or by being an employee)? Also oh boy I can't wait to hear customer complaints on this one @_@

Every time my inventory comes out my shrink dollars are crazy and everyone else is having good results. I know we caught a customer stealing the cheese and I mean whole wheels but IDK if I am doing something wrong and no one seems to know. When they send out the results they tend to be different from what's...

The Union Handbook reads that you are considered full-time if scheduled 40 hours for 8 consecutive weeks. Must you also WORK those 40 hours? For instance, what if one of your 8 weeks averaged 30 or less because of you were out due to being ill?
