Recently I was running some errands for my dad and had to buy him some groceries. Since I was already in that part of town I did his shopping at my old store. When I checked out the lady who rang me up was one of the few people I recognized. After some small talk she mentioned she was only getting 18 hours th...

Hey everybody, Had a quick question and not sure if this is across the board for all Kroger's stores or if I might just have to ask someone in HR about it. But does anybody know what is the total amount of requested days off a part-time employee can ask for? I ask, cause the week of Thanksgiving this year my d...

Hi all, I have been a cashier a few weeks and I've done 2 hours on self check out at night when I had 3 people! I'm on self checkout tomorrow for the afternoon but I was just wondering how do you scan the big items like cases of water? We have a handheld device (not iPad) but no one has explained to me yet how they...

Does your store have a problem of people complaining about an order (deli/bakery etc) just to get it at a discount rate or for free? I can always tell whose going to be the type to complain. I'm getting sick of it.

Don't you just love when you go into Kroger to shop and your department head stops you to ask if you can come in later, and you say "no I'm busy" and they start asking you what you're busy with? Mind your own business you're asking someone a favor on their day off and they have the right to say no.

Has anyone ever heard of anyone getting paid mileage pay for being transferred to another store? Because I have had several people tell me that I should be getting mileage pay, and that they personally know of people who have fought for it and got it. But when I asked the union steward in the store about i...
