If they call people from other departments to check, why don't they have checkers help other departments when there are 3 checkers with nothing to do? I am referring mostly to evenings since I work nights when I see this happenning.

for a part time job in the grocery department i feel like I'm at work every damn day, every day. i have no time to see my family who is in town this week that I only see once a week. I couldn't take the week off or even a day because i haven't been at kroger for a year. this sucks.

This sounds retarded but both the paper schedule and e-schedule had me off Sunday and Monday this week. This is unusual because I normally work Sundays every week, but I sure wasn't going to bring it up since being off two days in a row rocks. So I didn't go to work yesterday and today I get a call from my man...

Can any one tell me what to expect? This is my daughter's first job and I want her to be able to complete everything on the day. I know they already have her SSN and all that stuff but will will the paperwork ask for that again? Thank you!

Will the kroger cash registers stop you from selling alcohol to a minor if the birthdate you type in is below legal age?

What's Kroger's policy on reducing the price of items for customers at checkout? I usually get at least one person per shift saying that some item rang up at the wrong price and I don't always have a courtesy to go price check them.

I don't get their logic when it comes to the store layout. Before they started the store expansion/remodel, they had frozen food, dairy, and deli on the same side of the store. Now they've moved frozen and dairy clear over on the other side 30 aisles away. It used to be you could get your frozen food an...

Does anyone from Dayton/Cincy division know what these are good for? It's not the same card as the Wow bucks card, this one has a bar code on the back and says it's good for $5 in qualifying merchandise "one time use". Is it good for anything in the store or what? I got one from a manager tonight b...

Well today I get called upstairs and wrote up because I've missed so many days since the start of February. Between then and today I think has been a total of six days, with five because of illness ( I came down with the damn flu twice!) and the other because of weather. The co-manager stated to me that no...

So, I noticed that my "job step" went up and I got a pay raise along with it (10 cents). I'm wondering what or how the job step changes, and how it's tied to my pay. Note that I am only a part-timer working between 15-18 hours per week (the remaining days/hours going to school).

Our store is in the middle of a major expansion. The expanded deli and bakery sections opened in January. You would think they would have hired and trained people to fill all the necessary positions weeks in advanced, but no. We have a deli manager and a bakery manager but no one in back up. So far the...
