Can anyone tell me what the attendance policy is at kroger? I was scheduled to work 2 days that I requested off due to being out of town. I was going to call in but was wondering what the policy is on call ins before you get in trouble?

So apparently Texas passed a law stating its fine to piss or take a dump on the side walk. Krogers never smelled so better. Guess the ASSociates will be happy now since they can blame them rather than themselves. nasty

For those of you that had problems with direct deposit, I did as well. The main problem was that my bank and the store used different systems for the electronic transfer. This resulted in either my checks being sent to the hr person or having to do a stop payment procedure in case the checks weren't sent....

Poetic justice? Darwinism in full effect? Evidence that black people are genetically predisposed to animalism? Do black people who work at Kroger act this way too?:

I'm a courtesy clerk who works opening shift. Sometimes I'll be at the store before I clock in and talk to one of the overnight crew that used to work with me before they were transferred. Apparently corporate implemented some new rules for that department. I don't know what those rules are but I was tol...

I work at a sizable store where about 20 people need to pick on the select-a-schedule. For the most part for years they've been good at printing it Thursday or Fri afternoon. After a change in management they're lazy and often forget to print it. They now don't print it until Mon or Tue afternoon. I'm hig...

I'm sorry kroger but I'm tired of being a last resort person that you refuse to move around or promote. It doesn't matter how smart you are, how many years you put into the company, how well you know the jobs. It's all f'u-cken favoritism for promotions. I've always been a latchkey last resort sort of per...

Hey, I recently got fired after working for Kroger for a bit over 4 years with no write up and a good work record overall. The reason was because somebody got wind of me being a gun owner and storing it in the console of my car, I had being doing that since before I started the job so obviously I didn't have a...

I've been management at other jobs I worked at before the 2008 depression and I swear: It's who you know and who can pull strings for you. Not how much experience you have, how long you've been in that position, how much you know. How much education or prior work experience you have. I have too many parent...

Anyone else getting tired of all the store walks? Today we were supposed to have yet another store walk with our district manager and of course this had our management staff freaking out about everything that hasn't been done. Recently, in the deli where I work, I have had a couple of customers ask for "chip chop ham". When I asked what they meant, they said "you know, chipped and chopped". I said that I didn't know what they meant. They were like, "thinly chipped and chopped. I get it here all the time." I was like falling a...
