Kroger let me go meaning fired or terminated I don't know the technical term but I was there for about 3 weeks. They let me go before my 30 days before I was protected by the union. I kind of new this would happen because when I was hired they wanted me to work in a diff position but I couldn't do that. And I reci...

I'm a part-time cashier, and some weeks I'll be scheduled for 25-30 hours, but other weeks start off with 17 or 20. One week, I had 20 but covered someone's shift and accepted call-in requests/stay-late offers and wound up with 30 instead. At my store every worker must be given 12 hours unless the worke...

Hello everyone. I've been a Kroger employee for about 2 years so I've heard a lot of the same songs over and over again. Some of them I've come to like, however, there are some I can't seem to find even if I put the lyrics in on Youtube or Google. The first song lyrics started out like (Male Vocals): "I m...

I don't know how it is in other Boars Head stores, but in our stores we get salad kits from Boars Head so we can make salads using their meats. That's all well and good, except the kits almost always are gross. The worst item is usually the chopped cucumbers, which are either going bad or sometimes covered...

what day do we get our next bonus check for district 5

Some of the logic that this company is ran on makes me want to rip out my hair. My store is the worst in our district for overtime, but also has the most amount of relief cashier hours (57ish, more than a store twice our size with only 12 hours). For some reason no one can see the logic in that. Now overtime is f...

We get a mystery shop last Sunday. We were all informed of our manager being killed and his son being critically injured 2 days before. There's a beautiful memorial of our manager right when you walk in the door. We failed miserably. Everyone was still in shock. I understand business must go on, but how...

I don't know if you all have seen this making the rounds on FB but there is a multi-post of meme's explaining The World Economy with Two Cows. This is the American Corporation and it is dead on (no pun intended).

Whenever I try to open Yodel networking on the Kroger onboarding website on Google, it just pops up for a second and then it dissapears. Does anybody know what's causing this and how to fix it?

Schedules are posted on Friday. E-Schedule gets posted on Saturday. The schedule can be changed so long as it's before Saturday noon, right? Does the E-Schedule reflect any changes made? Like say they've changed it, and written it on the posted schedule... would that show up on the E-Schedule one t...

I am stepping down from dept. head to a regular clerk position in Bky. What are the correct steps for doing this? I will not ask at Store level because Ive come to trust Noone. What's it like being the mgr of the overnight stock crew at Kroger? I'm thinking about jumping ship. Can anyone fill me in on the nightly responsibilities, what it takes to run a good crew, average pay, etc. Thanks.

Often times, our Front End gets so backed up, someone (NOT a comanager or store manager) will get on the intercom and say "We need someone from each and every department to come help bag". I work in the meat and seafood department. It is usually just me and one other person back there, usual...
