So my truck was broken into while on the clock working my night shift and they stole stereo equipment. The cameras had been conveniently shut down right after arrival at work that night, so there is no footage of the burglary. Called the company's insurance and they said I'm responsible for my own vehi...

Why is Kroger so greedy for money. Target is raising the min wage to 15 dollars by 2020. Like if we got paid more we would likely work harder. It's hard to live off the little bit of money we make. If we have to get part time jobs to help with bills and school. kroger makes billions a year and cannot invest in be...

I'm not on the stock crew but someone told me that now they have to carry around a handheld device that keeps track of their time. Every time they have to stop stocking to help a customer or use the restroom or do whatever, they have to log it on this device. It sounds implausible but I actually saw a bunch...

I have never called out before but managment insisted that I go see a doctor to have the absence excused because they needed crack down on attendance. He said when I came in we would have...

Cause there's a couple at my store that do. I'm ****ing 30, and I pull my weight. I'm not lazy. But they find trivial stuff to pick on me with. "Did you put this here?" "Did you forget to do that?" Stuff that even the supervisors don't care about. And most times they talk about me in the third person, like as i...

So, lets say I got hurt at work- enough to need to go to the doctor and get xrays. If they drug test me and it comes up positive, is there a policy that says they have to fire me? Does anyone know how long it takes for Workers Comp to get back to Kroger about tests like that? I know Workers Comp can take a long time...

Hello all, I work in a Cincinnati store, I was due my first wage increase the first of this month, it never came so I was told to call HR. HR told me that since min wage went up in Ohio the first of the year (a month before my raise was due) that Kroger counted the wage increase as my raise and my next raise will a...

If you think you are being unfairly treated/harrassed by a fellow coworker, is there anything you can do about it? Would this be an issue to take to management or the union? What if management doesn't do anything about it? This is getting out of hand and I can't even go to work and do my job without verbal a...

This isn't a lesson on CAO, just an FYI. But for one thing the CAO layout will tend to change. But if you really want to learn CAO or you need to, talk with your grocery manager. They seem to be the most knowledgeable about CAO in the entire store. I mean they know just about everything if not everything abou...

Toward the end of the day on Homecoming Day, a couple families called the store floral department for last minute boutonnieres and corsages. Although I have only begun working at Kroger, it was rewarding that my manager had confidence in my ability to create these floral pieces to satisfy our custom...

So, I changed the bank I get direct deposits to. It did not deposit, so I checked the old account. Nothing. Lovely. Paystub says I got paid but shows nothing for where it would be deposited. What worries me is tomarrow is my last day with the company, and I move to another state on wednesday and need that...

Kroger recently notified participants in their employee 401K plan of changes to the investment options for the plan offered by Merrill Lynch, which was purchased by Bank of America during the last financial meltdown (BOA was forced by the US government) to keep it out of bancruptcy. According to those surveys. Now we're going to be pushed harder to be more friendly to people. Forced hellos to anyone within arm's length, telling them to take the survey on the receipt, blah blah blah.

Does anyone know if I can do anything about my unit manager? We're running a skeleton crew (can't keep anyone for more than a month), and it's turning out to be 10 hour nights minimum, which is fine most of the time, but times I want to follow my schedule due to plans, my manager loses his mind. I don't think...

Full timer here, been hearing rumors about being demoted and tranfered from other co-workers and been personally told by a friend right after they talked to the store manager about me being demoted and tranfered. But I haven't been told anything? All I did was tell the manager I was gonna call the unio...

Hello everyone, I was recently signed up to be a utility clerk by my customer service manager without being asked. I'm normally a courtesy clerk and have been for as long as I have worked there. However, I prefer not to be in utilities but I'm not sure if I should talk to my CSM about that. She said she was so...

She swiped her card on the pinpad, thinks she's paid. Comes to me saying that she didn't get a receipt. I'm like, no maam, you didn't pay. I tell her that she has to press the "card" button on the self checkout's screen to finish paying. I try to explain to her the pinpad is waiting for her response from the o...

Have you folks ever had occurrences where you find yourself bumping into the same person at work... no matter which corner you turned, no matter which hallway you walk down, no matter how random of a time you go to bail your cardboard or go pee, etc? I swear this keeps happening to me at my job. Especially...

Do they say "hi" and "thank you" to you? Do they treat you like any other customer? Do they give you eye contact and acknowledge your existence? I've noticed at my store, all the managers never go to a cashier's lane, they always use the self checkout. I wonder why.
